Juice Alive 100% Fruit Juice Meets Alliance for a Healthier Generation Guidelines for Beverages

CHERRYVILLE, NC. (July 30, 2010) – Trident Marketing, owner of the Juice Alive 100% fruit juice brand, has announced it is working with the Alliance for a Healthier Generation, founded by the American Heart Association and the William J. Clinton Foundation, by adopting its School Beverage and Competitive Food Guidelines for all twenty-five 100% juice flavors which it offers to ensure healthier a-la-carte and fruit juice beverages are available in schools across the country.

“It is a struggle for many school child nutrition programs and administrators to offer beverage options that are healthy and that the students are also excited about.  The Juice Alive 100% juice frozen drink program fills this void,” said John Walker, President and Owner of Trident Marketing.  “By offering products which meet the Alliance School Beverage Guidelines, we renew our commitment to offering healthy options for schools across the country.”

In order to meet the Alliance School Beverage Guidelines, the Juice Alive 100% juice concentrate product was recently reformulated to 120 calories, 100 percent RDA Vitamin C, 10 percent RDA Vitamin A, 10 percent RDA Vitamin D and 10 percent Calcium in an 8oz. serving.  Most schools use the Juice Alive product through slush machines which are provided by local Juice Alive distributors; however, many local day cares and food service establishments are also using Juice Alive either as slush or a cold drink.  For more information on the services offered by Juice Alive, visit www.juicealive.net.

The Alliance for a Healthier Generation works to address one of the nation’s leading public health threats – childhood obesity.  The goal of the Alliance is to reduce the prevalence of childhood obesity by 2015, and to empower kids nationwide to make healthy lifestyle choices.  Founded in 2005 by the American Heart Association and the William J. Clinton Foundation, the Alliance works to positively affect the places that can make a difference to a child’s health: homes, schools, doctor’s offices and communities.
